Living Jewishly: Identity, Celebration and Safety

Featuring Rabbi Matt Rosenberg, Rabbi Motti Seligson, Abraham Hamra, Sheila Katz

Lighting Shabbat candles. Wearing a Star of David or kippah. Celebrating with traditional foods, music, and traditions. Jewish cultural and religious expression is an act of joy, continuity, and pride - but for many, it can come with a daily calculation: do I wear this necklace? speak about Shabbat plans? celebrate my traditions openly? Join panelists from across the Jewish community share their lived experiences navigating Jewish identity in today's world - across observance level, appearance, and tradition. Hear how they balance visibility and belonging, what it means to celebrate their traditions openly, and how identity shapes both their experience of antisemitism and the richness of Jewish life. Walk away inspired to share your own story, act as an ally, and learn what it means to create spaces where all Jews feel seen, celebrated, and safe.
